Understanding Alcoholism: You Drink Too Much!
December 9, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Are you a Deaf or hard-of-hearing alcoholic? Do you know a Deaf or hard-of-hearing alcoholic? Maybe you drink a lot but you are not sure whether you’re really alcoholic. Maybe you want to go to AA meetings but can’t find one with an interpreter, or the interpreter doesn’t really understand AA so the message is hard to understand. Alcoholism can be a fatal disease. Deaf people can die because they don’t have access to treatment like the way out presented in Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and literature.
Come watch a funny skit that will show you what AA is and how it started. Learn what alcoholism really is and find out how you can decide if you’re an alcoholic yourself. Everything will be in ASL, so you will learn about alcoholism and AA direct in your own language!
YOUR ANONYMITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY WILL BE SAFE!
THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY!
PLEASE JOIN US ON FRIDAY!
Do you want to attend this workshop anonymously? Contact Jon at jonathan@aslis.com for a live youtube link.
*In keeping with AA’s 12 Traditions, this workshop is not affiliated with, sponsored by, nor connected in any way to Alcoholics Anonymous.
