MN State Capitol Grand Opening

August 11, 2017 - August 13, 2017

the Minnesota Department of Adminstration is hosting a fun 3-day celebration of the Grand Reopening of the Minnesota State Capitol. Events include Yoga on the Capitol Lawn, music and dancing, panel events on various topics, Kid Zone (featuring the Science Museum of Minnesota, Minnesota Children's Museum, Minnesota Historical Society, and Storytime with Minnesota Librarians), and Capitol Tours. It is the event of the year!
All events are free of charge. Metro Transit will provide free rides to the Capitol on Saturday and Sunday.

Deaf Yoga:
Deaf Yoga will be offered on the Capitol Lawn!
When: Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 8-9 AM.
This is family friendly, relaxed, and fun. Children are welcome!
There will be two yoga groups offered this Saturday. One group will be conducted in ASL, taught by MNCDHH's Director of Community Engagement & Project Management, Jessalyn Akerman-Frank. The other will be taught in English by another yoga instructor.
Note: Yoga on the Capitol Lawn will also be taught on the morning of Friday, August 11 and Sunday, August 13. An ASL interpreter will be provided during those sessions.
